The temperature dropped from 81° to 63° from Cape Canaveral to Gainesville, FL. The sky was overcast and I was hitting spots of rain. At the moment, I did not expect to run into the white stuff till I got on the other side of Tallahassee. The other pilot car that ran the rear escort drives for someone else and her boss told her to find a place to stop. I told her that she was messing up if she stopped to soon. She decided to stop in Marianna, FL and I decided to come on home. The following are the photos and radar images from that night, in order, that I posted on Facebook to keep everyone texting me up to date.
Just hit I10 West. It’s 49° and still raining off and on. From the looks of the radar, I have about 250 miles before I hit the white stuff.
Just passing by. Looks like I will be getting in to the bad stuff soon. I will post periodic updates on my progress for those that are concerned about me being out here on the road in the middle of this mess. Right now it is 31° and raining.
